To heal the part you must understand the whole!

Last week, I was sitting with my little munchkin neighbour watching K-Pop Demon Hunters on Netflix. In the movie, the lead singer suddenly loses her voice right before a concert and is rushed to a doctor. Instead of giving her a tonic, he starts asking her questions about her emotions, stress and ability to express herself.

The whole group looks confused and asks, “Why does this matter? Just fix her voice.”

To which the doctor replies: “To heal the part, you must understand on the whole.”

That line hit me so deeply, because that is exactly what I do. While focussing on just the symptom(s), we tend to miss out on the underlying root cause(s).

In every single session with my clients, our conversations go far beyond food. Whether someone comes to me for hormonal imbalances, PCOS, constipation or gut issues, or even weight loss, I work with the whole person sitting in front of me.

If I didn’t, these women would not experience long-lasting transformations. It would be just another temporary fix something that feels good for a few days, until old patterns, suppressed emotions, and emotional eating habits pull them back.

To heal the part you must understand the whole!

A recent client story that reminded me of this so strongly

One of my clients came to me with 10+ years of severe IBS and hypothyroidism. She had tried every possible diet under the sun.

With her own efforts, she had improved a little, but major symptoms continued to trouble her:

  • Constant balloon-like bloating

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Brain fog

  • Erratic loose stools

  • Intense cravings

  • Binges

  • A constant need for “tasty outside food”

  • Never understanding what to eat or what to avoid

She knew something was missing. And she was determined to get her life back.

What all her previous diets missed was a holistic, Mind-Body-Food approach.

The diets gave temporary relief, but nothing helped her feel alive again.

What we did differently inside the JNS program

We connected the missing pieces that were never addressed before:

1. Ran the right blood work: Her level of brain fog was not normal. Her antibodies were extremely high, which helped us plan her food and supplements correctly.

2. Slowed down her day: The gut hates rush. Slowing down is one of the most anti-inflammatory practices, yet the most underrated.

3. Helped her acknowledge her emotions: The gut is a mirror organ. Suppressed emotions always show up in gut health.

4. Worked on amplifying her voice: This is deeply connected to thyroid health. When you silence yourself, your needs, your boundaries: your thyroid feels it.

5. Broke all food rules and gave her full permission to eat: Her million “rules” were hurting her more than helping. Once she gave herself full permission, she naturally gravitated towards wholesome home-cooked meals. The dependency on outside food dropped almost instantly.

You know what happened?

Her food fear eased

  • Cravings reduced

  • She no longer depended on “tasty outside food” to feel better

  • Bloating started settling

  • Sleep quality improved

  • Fatigue reduced

  • The constant brain fog—finally lifted

This is what happens when you stop treating symptoms in isolation and start healing the whole person.

I am incredibly proud of all the women inside Undiet.

When you choose to heal for yourself, your vision expands. You start noticing how your emotions, your mindset, and your everyday small actions are shaping your health.

This is why it is essential to remember:

“To heal the part, understand the whole”

Does this sound like something you woulod want to live?
